Michael Mosiman's 2026 Supercross Comeback: Houston Championship Preview (2026)

The Road to Redemption: Michael Mosiman's Supercross Journey

In the thrilling world of Supercross, a sport that demands both physical prowess and mental resilience, Michael Mosiman is writing a remarkable comeback story. After a series of devastating injuries and setbacks, Mosiman finds himself in a promising position as the 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship unfolds.

Mosiman, a native of Sebastopol, California, has endured a rollercoaster ride in recent years. From breaking his neck in 2022 to dealing with ankle and concussion issues, he has faced challenges that would test the mettle of even the toughest competitors. But here's where it gets controversial: Mosiman believes these trials were necessary for his growth and maturity as a rider.

"It's been a crazy journey," he shares. "I've had to move, adapt, and overcome serious injuries. Each setback taught me valuable lessons. I grew as a rider and as a person. Now, I feel like I'm a better, more responsible competitor."

And this is the part most people miss: Mosiman's success isn't just about his physical skills. It's about his mental game and the unique approach he's taken to training.

"I almost didn't get this ride with Star Racing because I was set on my own training program," he reveals. "But I stuck to my guns and worked with my own guy, Philippe Barbier. Philippe is a neuroscientist who focuses on mental performance. He's a key reason for my rebound."

As we head into the next three rounds in Houston, Phoenix, and Seattle, Mosiman is determined to maintain his momentum. He's not thinking about the championship just yet; instead, he's focused on the process - minimizing risks and capitalizing on opportunities.

"My goal is to keep improving, both as a racer and as a person. If I do that, the results will follow. I'm excited for the outdoors season, where I feel I have a real shot at the top."

So, what do you think? Is Mosiman's approach the key to his success? Or is there something else at play? We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
